I was not aware until now, but yes it seems that version control needed to be disabled in this release because we were unable to complete updates needed to the MySQL driver after doing framework updates on our share code. Now that I have been aware I will make sure that this is fixed in the next release. It should show up in a beta in a few weeks. Until then if version control is important to you I'm afraid you will need to keep using version 6.7. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
