Forum Post: Automation Script Fails to Start Toad

I've created an automation script using Toad for MySQL to update some tables in MySQL.  The script works fine when I execute it manually within Toad.  I then created a Windows Task Schedule to run the task each morning at 8:00am and then every two hours until 8:00pm.  The first time the task runs each morning, Toad fails to completely start up and execute the script.  The script log hasn't been updated since the previous day.  In windows Task Manager, I see the toad.exe *32 task but it's not doing anything and is only 500k in size.  When I run the script manually within Toad, the process is about 50MB in Task Manager.  The Task Schedule History just shows Task triggered on scheduler Task Engine received message to start task Task Started Action Started Created Task Process and that's it.  Nothing ever happens within Toad, according to the script log not getting updated. If I then kill the toad.exe *32 process in Task Manager, two more events appear in the Task Scheduler history Action completed Task completed but that actual script hasn't run - no updates in the database. Now the really strange part - since the schedule runs every two hours, when it kicks off again throughout the day, it runs just fine.  This happens every morning.  Can you think of a reason why the first time Toad launches in a schedule, it doesn't fully launch, but does every successive time?
