Forum Post: Toad is not canceling queries nor is it even checking if the query is still running on the server

If you start a query that is taking a long time, and hit the Cancel button, the UI says it's cancelled but if you run  'show processlist'  you will still see it running. And..  if you start a long query and then go and kill that session from somewhere else, Toad will still continue sitting there waiting for it.
