In Toad For MySQL windows version, set "File encoding type" to Unicode(UTF-8) inside Options -- Editor -- General, and open an UTF-8 script file such as test.sql, then modify and save it, the file's encoding type become "UTF-8 BOM" instead of UTF-8, because it adds hex data "EF BB BF" at the beginning of file. This results in that the UTF-8 BOM script file can not be recognized correctly by Toad Mac Edition and MySQL WorkBench for windows. BTW, dbForge Studio has the same problem too, it seems that it is an Windows API issue, but MySQL WorkBench and EditPlus 3 and Notpad++ can correctly save file as UTF-8 instead of UTF-8 BOM under Windows. The Toad For MySQL version number is 7.5.0.966.
