Yes, I use Toad for MySQL as my primary tool for working with a number of MySQL RDS instances (production and development). All of the instances are MySQL 5.6.21 and at this stage I'd say that Toad for MySQL works exactly the same with RDS as it does with a local MySQL server. I use SSH port forwarding to get to my instances and it would be nice if Toad for MySQL supported SSH port forwarding directly so that I didn't need to run other software (like PuTTY) to get the port forwarding but that's not a big deal. I am just starting to test Aurora, at this stage AWS don't have migrations working if you use file per table innodb based databases, so our testing has been delayed, but in the few cases when I've tried connecting to Aurora with Toad its worked fine.
