Hi, I searched the forum and could not find an answer so I am posting a question here. I hope this is not a duplicate question. I use Toad for MySQL as a major importing tool for the data stored in CSV and Excel files (.XLS, .XLSX). Sometimes, I only want to create tables from the data not populating any rows so that I can take a look at the structure of the table beforehand and make necessary changes in the data type of columns. By doing this way, I can prevent the import error for big files. How can I do this? The method I am using now is that I import the data until I got the import error (mostly caused by wrong data type assignment of Toad) and click 'No' to proceed the import process ignoring some rows and change the modification later after the import process is finished. This is not very efficient and sometimes time consuming. Thanks in advance.
